q1. How did the Bible School start?
The Igeyaba District Executives saw the need for trained pastors and ministry leaders. In 2015, they established the Bible Training Centre, beginning with a three-month introductory Disciples Training Program.
Q2. When did the official Bible Training Program start?
The three-year Bible Training Program officially began in 2019 with 12 students. It was held in a newly built classroom on Firmans’ land.
Q3. How many graduations have been held?
There have been four graduations so far:
First: 2021 – 12 students
Second: 2022 – 9 students
Third: 2023 – 11 students
Fourth: 2024 – 13 students from Iga and Sepikaba Districts
The fifth graduation is scheduled for November 13, 2025, with 18 students.
Igeyaba Bible School students
Mr. & Mrs. Suyos Dibu – Newly appointed pastor for Yamage EPCNG Local. When they first came to the Bible School they couldn’t read or write and hardly could speak any English. However, when they left, they both spoke English as well as reading and writing it.
Q4. What is the value and outcome of the program?
The program has already produced
8 are pastoring a church
8 are assistant pastors
8 are assisting in women’s fellowship
Janet Firman has started “Mercy Ministries” which involves supporting physically and spiritually widows, widowers. orphans and disabled in 6 churches over 2 church districts (Foe and Igeyaba)
One couple has been involved in a church planting mission away from Kutubu.
14 are pursuing diploma studies or other advanced training. There is also an option for those with year 12 certificate to continue their studies towards a trade or other vocations via a TVET local provider (Technical and Vocational Education and Training).
Q5. What are the benefits of the Bible School?
The school provides recognised training for pastors and leaders. Graduates who complete the three-year Certificate are eligible to apply for higher theological studies. Overall, the program helps raise up stronger leaders for local congregations and ensures the future of ministry in the districts.

Q9. What future plans does the Bible School have?
To introduce a Diploma-level course in 2026 and expand training opportunities for pastors and ministry leaders.
Q10. Who supports or oversees the Bible School?
Lake Kutubu Development Project has supported the school by sending 4 shipping containers of items such as solar panels, tools and equipment that can be used or sold to provide financial support.
Q11. What happens if a Pastor is unavailable?
In the event a Pastor is unavailable, the plan is to have a standby pastor replacement ready. This ensures there is no disruption in leadership and that the Bible School continues smoothly.
Q12. Where do students come from?
Students primarily come from the Igeyaba District, with some students expected to join from neighbouring areas. The 2025 graduation will include 18 students from these regions.
Q13. What is required to apply to the Bible School?
Candidates must be active in their local churches, show leadership potential, and be recommended by church leaders. They should be committed to serving the ministry for three years of training
